After more than 17 years with the UNAP, Executive Director Rick Brooks will be leaving the UNAP to take a position with the State of Rhode Island as the Executive Director of the Governor’s Workforce Board.  In his new role, Rick will be responsible for developing policies and programs to increase the education and skills of Rhode Island workers and address the workforce needs of Rhode Island employers.

In a message to UNAP leaders, Brooks wrote, "The UNAP will always have a very special place in my heart.  We have been through so much together as we have worked to build our Union and make life better for our members and our patients.  Through it all, I have learned from you what it truly means to be an advocate for health care workers and for patients – and for that I will always be deeply grateful."
